First run of November. Only ran because I have unexpectedly won a place in the GUCR ballot again - I was really just hoping for an extra ticket in the hat next year! By this time last November I'd already run nearly 11 miles, so at a disadvantage already! Intend to beat last years mileage each month between now and GUCR in order to be marginally better prepared at least. Not feeling optimistic about my ultra-runner status.
