Notes & Comments

Fleet Half. Slowest road half but absolutely delighted. Paced it really well. Worked on form throughout which helped with some heel pain.

Didn’t get greedy when I felt good and simply kept the 2:10 pacers in sight.

30:28, 30:27, 30:31, 30:48 for each 5k. That's crazy. Yesterday I was puffing doing 30:30 at parkrun. Just need a couple of good weeks now. And a bit more belief. (But be careful of goal creep!)

To be completely open and honest, I did pull back slightly in the last mile but I'd worked out that I was comfortably under 2:10 at that point.

No stomach issues (Imodium night before & before leaving home + 1 about 45 minutes before the race started might be slight overkill).
