Ian brought his bad knee and Jeremy and I had our warm stuff for litter picking later to drop off at the Village Hall on the way to pick up Jacqui, so it wasn't the quickest of totters over the first 1km. And then we got to stand around a bit while the Hall was unlocked and our stuff safely stashed away.

After that, the run round the village progressed more or less as normal: we enjoyed the sun while it lasted (it was forecast to go away) and stopped on the Cleeves so Jeremy could get some pictures of a couple of swans. Then we wombled around the village, dropping Jacqui off, watching Ian take himself directly to Forton and thence home, finally leaving Jeremy and me at the Village Hall to do some litter picking. For which we got free coffee and double-90th birthday cake† at the Coffee Morning!

Yay! What's not to like?

† Sam and Eric had their 90th birthdays today and last Monday, respectively. There was an opening, flaming, birthday-jingle-playing fire hazard as part of the celebrations, too - awesome!
