Notes & Comments

Toughest marathon I've done but enjoyable. Off road is new to me for this distance and the course was so scenic. First half went well but knee got a bit sore around 12 miles so put on the knee strap i had with me as i knew the knee was dodgy all week before the race. About 10 miles in was a section along rocks and then onto a beach, followed by a climb back up to the main road. After this it was the coastal path again with ups and downs including stone steps and wooden steps on the steep sections. Quads really felt this.

Happy enough with my run as knee managed to hold out but had to walk a few times. Was hoping to dip under 4 hours so 4 hrs 12 min was fine.
