Mega Challenge Marathon: 4:16:05 Pos:5/58

Probably my worst marathon this year, although I might be being a bit harsh on myself.

I'd turned up for a 4:10 jog, but the combination of a reasonably challenge course, 23 degrees and feeling ropey from last night's dinner, pretty much did for me today.

At no point did I enjoy this, nor did I ever feel good. Spent the whole run wishing I hadn't bothered.

Left hip flexor was knackered late on and my big toe joints were aching. I need a rest now to get this out of the system.

(Some of the later mile splits are exaggerated due to me needing to spend more time at the drinks station as I tried to pull myself together).
