Tough race today. First half wasn't too bad but the second half was a beast. I'd forgotten about all the hills. A lot of them went on for a long time - especially the one starting at 18 miles and not ending until after 19 miles. From 18 miles on I was struggling badly. I was in 6th place (women) for most of the race but someone overtook me in the last mile and I had absolutely nothing left in the tank. Found it really hard work today, especially as it was very windy at times (aftermath of Storm Doris). 4 minutes slower than last time I did the course. But pleased with being 1st FV50.
