Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bettsy Well, where do I start ? a pb for 6 miles, 3rd on my stage (Thanks to the wind being behind heading out of Cambridge) but with wet shoes - after mucking about under the bridge at the stage 1 changeover. Very well organised and marshalled, routes easy to follow, very windy in parts - nearly got blown into the river on a couple of occasions ! To get the long run in, then ran stage 5 and 6 to the finish - apologies to anyone who thought they were catching us up, only to find out we were on a long warm down ! took about 90 minutes. Very hard underfoot in places, but a good day out and team event. Will be back next year.

Making_Tracks Quite pleased with this time. It was very windy but also the runners had become quite stretched out by the time I started leg 4 and so I ran completely alone... its hard to race yourself! I wasn't overtaken. I managed good for me 8.34 min mile pace and did manage to close the distance between myself and 3 runners in front.

It was great to meet so many lovely Fetchies.

Paulie Very well organised and enjoyable relay race along the banks of the River Cam. I felt slightly uncomfortable amongst the elite of Saffron Striders' runners, but thankfully I didn't embarrass myself, and we finished 8th out of 71.

Slow Going My Leg... just a great great run. I was buzzing when I finished. Allegedly sub 7min/mile for 6 miles that included kissing gates and bridges over the river - although I'm not sure I believe this. What I can say is that I had one of those special runs when you believe you are invincible and can run forever and pain is just one of those things that will pass and the quicker you finish the quicker it will stop hurting and how it's great that you're the one who gets a tail wind. Engaged in one of my stupider sprint finishes as I had decided I WAS beating the person in front, and I rather ran out of course to catch him.
