Rach E I was told after the 10km that I had this other race to do as my name had been picked randomly out of all the entrants. I knew the prize was a skiing holiday, but I honestly thought it was a fix or ski passes only or something. Anyway, I rather reluctantly said yes. Instructions given in Danish (i.e. I had no clue what was going on), we were all set to go and I dropped my egg before the gun (this demonstrates just how dextrous I am). New egg supplied and we're off. Immediately get ahead of all the adults and then pass the children who'd been given a 10m head start. Passed last girl with 5m to go. Told to go to loudspeaker man to be handed a huge cheque thing which said I'd won a skiing holiday worth 8000kr!!!!!!!!!! Shocked and absolutely ecstatic. What a great day out.
