SPKoF A quick course but definitely not a beginners course as advertised by the organisers. The first 3/4 mile is doiwnhill then a sharp hill followed by an undulating 2 miles then a sharp downhill to within 100m of the finishline with a lung bursting uphill to the finish. Very unusually the race finished at the END of the funnel with the number takers at the start of the funnel and time takers at the end where the finish line was. I watched a number of runners stop at the start of the funnel only to restart running to the get to the actual finish. That way around meant there could be no sprint overtaking in the last 10m. The weather was perfect and despite the strangeness with the funnel well organised with good support from the organisers. Long Eaton Running Club 17:45 19:22 19:22 64.39
