Red Squirrel: I rinse mine in the stream near my flat on the way back from runs. -

Pedro_Perez: I second Dave A comment, I find a stream a mile or so from home and stick my feet in t or I just don't bother. The mud soon drops off on your next run if left to dry.
Your not going to be going for a job interview in them so why bother keeping them nice and clean?!? So long as they are dry for my next run...... Its worth having a couple of pairs on the go at the same time. -

Cat the Dog: I'll stick em under the tap then! Don't mind muddy shoes but these are just a tad crusty for my liking...don't think I'll be invited to join any trail running clubs soon. Admitting I want to clean my trainers may be a big no-noespecially my pink ones!

Johnny Blaze: Cold water tap. Dirty trainers are a badge of honour, anyway. -

Muddie: I don't like the crusty feeling you get when the mud's left to dry. Rinse under tap. Then unblock sink.
