When I get to 01:04:02 in my Blockbuster rental of The Village & the damn thing freezes & stops playing.
Gah - what makes it worse is it looks like something is finally about to happen. So, so annoyed. It would be better if it didn't work at all rather than letting me get an hour in

Gogster, yes the Human Right issue is on shaky ground now due to the proven pernicious effects of passive smoking.
So it's a smoker's right to smoke? Ok, maybe so but they certainly shouldn't be alowed to pollute the air around them thus endagering the health of other people...
It's that social acceptability thing again isn't it? Is it socially acceptable to smoke nowadays? I'm an ex smoker but I believe it should be banned in public places. I know some folk will say there's nothing worse than an ex smoker well maybe there isn't and probably because they have learned from their mistakes?
The smoking break thing is just silly. Would they allow time for heroin addicts to shoot up or glue sniffers to get high?

well said Ian
Maybe smokers should go onto the hard stuff. At least then on their shooting up breaks I wouldn't choke on smoke & my clothes & hair wouldn't stink from their fumes.
Then again, these smokers love to litter & I think needles left on the beaches & in the parks would be a little nit more of a trip hazard than the fag butts.

I love the fact that once the government gets the numbers of smokers down by 40% it's going to cost all the non smokers ano extra 3p in the pound to make up the lost revenue.

I had a lovely run today - there were loads of people out for a walk. All incredibly kind and patient - all cleared the path for me to puff through, and even stood aside so I could run round big muddy puddles. No aggravation at all.
Made no difference. I was still SIX minutes slower than my best for that route.

Hey Max! I've been saying for years the government should promote smoking as an answer to the pensions crisis. Reduce life expectancy and increase revenue.
We'll also kill off all the stupid people who are too silly to NOT smoke and raise the average IQ of the population.

People who make me a cup of tea, but don't rinse the spoon after they've made coffee. I can taste it. It's disgusting.
Also, cling film. I just can't get on with it at all.
