Just looking at this for my first try 18/8/11 at seaford.

As I live just along the coast it means no hotels, also looks like I don't need to but/borrow/steal a wetsuit :-)

Wazelle
Are you a really good swimmer used to swimming in the sea? If not recommend that you start off with a pool based tri.

You can hire wetsuits.

Thanks for the tip Wazelle,

I haven't swum properly in the sea for a few years but used to be ok. I live 20 metres from the sea in Hove so hopefully can practice a lot next spring and there is a sea swimming club 1mile away that goes in everyday (not in the winter though) so could pick up some tips/coaching there.

Tapering for a half marathon on Sunday so instead of running tomorrow I will be off to the local pool for a bit of a gentle practice :-)

Got something to say?
