Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ok, I have a place for this, never done it before. Tell me, is it good and should I be scared? ;)

My favourite race. Great terrain, fab views, lots of encouragement, cameraderie, lovely refuelling options at the end, tasteful T-shirt, well thought out spot prizes.

I did it last year and loved it. Admittedly I went with 3 club mates and we decided we were going to run round together and just have a laugh, which made the tough bits a bit more bearable. I would certainly do it again if I'm ever lucky enough to get another place!

And they say that if you run it hard, expect it to take the time it takes you to run a road marathon!

Its the worst race and the best race all rolled into one. I've done the Cub and the Grizzly, and I'd do the Grizzly again just for entertainment value alone, the Cub is the worst bits of the Grizzly. Be prepared for amazing scenery, all the weather, hills, MUD, beer, the BEST marshal stops, great t-shirts and probably the best atmosphere you'll ever run in. Don't hope for a PB though, go and keep your head up and enjoy it for what it is :)

Thank you. I survived 😊👍 so chuffed. Hard as nails race. Couldn't get over the size of those hills and that mud! Loved it though and hope to do it again.
