Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Do any of my fellow runners suffer with post nasal run and sneezing?

Why does this happen? Or I am alone in this and a bit weird ;) (well weirder than I am already)

Any of our resident "docs" care to explain this phenomenon?

Any tips on reducing the likelihood of this happening each time I run?

It lasts an hour or so after.

Many thanks
Curious of Oxon

I've always just been pleased the nose waited for me to finish running before it started...

This has always happened to me, DeeGee.

I suffer with perennial rhinitis anyway (a disadvantage of living in the Thames Valley apparently) and am asthmatic (but very well controlled).

I get a runny nose within about 5 minutes of leaving the house. I sometimes run with a hanky :-D

I have perenial rhinitis too & have to use a nasal spray daily. My nose runs all the time when running & I've just been out this morning & it's still flowing, getting through loads of tissues :-) Very annoying but I just accept that this is the way my nose is, been like it as long as I can remember.

My nose runs a bit sometimes when I run, this is the reason God invented long sleeved tops and sweat bands for your wrists :-)

My nose runs faster than me when out. I'm not the most lady like of runners and I "snot" when I run to clear it.
