I had a bruise under my big toe nail since Beachy head marathon.

The other week I went for a long run, ever since its felt a bit odd, there was a line across it, which appears to be a crack. It feels loose.

What should I do? Wait for it to fall off? Pull it off (fnarr)? See a specialist?
I've put a picture in the gallery if it helps :-)

It would help me digest my breakfast if you took it down, actually. We all know what a manky foot looks like.

Aargh! Yuk. Let it do what it wants, I'd say. Don't force the matter or you could make it worse, maybe? Mind you, I know nothing, but I do have an evilly purple toenail from kicking a drain cover back in feb - I think they can take their time!

Since last year's Brighton mara I am an expert on this. Don't force them. Look after them and keep them hanging on as long as poss. Then they'll just ease off when they're ready and they'll be weird but not hurty underneath.

My little toe nail was lost in action a couple of years ago and has never recovered. My middle toe nail on the same foot is now a lovely deep purple colour .. I fear the worse.

I should probably confess that I haven't lost it through some fast marathon or mega ultra - in fact...
