Some of you Inov-8 wearers may know that there are now standard and precision fits. Apparently the (larger fit) standard replaced the old fit initially, but then precision (old fit) was brought in after complaints. Can anyone tell me know how long after the new standard fit the precision was introduced. Ta. |

I think precision is what the old performance fit or whatever the f-lite used to be when it was marketed as a racing shoe. Standard is what was called anatomical a while back. I bought the F-lite 192 recently and it's defo a wider fit. |

Aye, but what was the period between (i) standard fit being introduced, and (ii) precision fit being introduced as a thing?

My understanding is that standard fit is only available in a couple of models (the ultra one, x-talon, roclite f-lite and trailroc). I didn't think any of the precision fit ones had ever gone away. I can't wear the precision fit in any model. Which shoe were you thinking of? Current specs are all on their web site... inov-8.com |

Yeah I need to know that as I'm giving Inov-8 some feedback. I've been wearing both shoes for about 3 years and I feel like I've wasted a lot of money when I thought I was getting the usual replacement shoes but then found they were too roomy. The materials in the sole and upper have changed too and not for the best. ![]() |

Precision fit has always existed I believe. Standard fit was introduced when they started making road shoes I think...

X-post - my last reply was to Reinhold. I had a look at their website before posting Jacdaw, I always have F-Lites 195 and X-Talons 190. The running shop I got my last replacements from said that the precision was not introduced until after I'd bought mine. |

I don't ever remember there being 2 sorts of fit previously SPR. There was certainly only one choice of fit for women going back. ... and chaps in my running club used to complain how narrow they were, so I guess they didn't have a choice of 2 fits either. Narrow is good for me. Wide fitting v bad. I've suffered from PF on both feed in the last year. |

Red Squirrel - Re The F-lite and X-Talon, I'm 100% sure they are wrong. Precision fit was the normal fit for the f-lite, it jsut wasn't named precision.

Yes that's right SPR. I just need to know when 'precision' was re-introduced.
