Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I was trying that, Hann - but then, I wouldn't be able to fill the 'side wing' of the bladder at all. And would end up with a hard bit of plastic sticking into my waist...

Ok, I had a look at the Inov8 website. The new rucksacks have a different 'pocket' for the water bladder. On the closeup photo you can see where the closure of the bladder goes, in a transparant bit. Looks like the new bladder only works with the new generation rucksacks? They look quite different from the one I have...

I have a race pro 12, like you, and I cannot see how I would fit the new model bladder into the rucksack... I think you need to swap either the rucksack for the latest Pro 10 model, or swap the bladder for the old model?

Did you buy both from the same shop, i.e. Wiggle? The
Race pro 10 seems to come with the bladder...http://www.wiggle.co.uk/inov-8-race-pro-10-hydration-system/

Thanks, Hanneke! Much appreciated.

Found it - those rucksacks are very different from mine indeed! (Only looked at the bladder on their website - never occured to me to look for the rucksack instead. D'oh indeed! Will email wiggle.

Yes, bought both from Wiggle. And got the rucksack straps shortened first thing (as couldn't find a rucksack that wasn't too big in the straps), so won't be able to return the rucksack...

You can return the bladder to Wiggle for a refund, then find an old style blader. While looking into this, I did find some still for sale, think it was on Amazon. I love my rucksack with horizontal bladder!

I've emailed Wiggle first to see what they say - but expecting that they'll probably suggest that. Just a bit disappointed as was going to take the rucksack on a training run this weekend in preparation for an upcoming race (but won't be doing any more long runs between now and then, so don't want to chance using the rucksack in the race). Lots more runs to come afterwards though. :-)
