This is my first year racing, and so far the races I have applied for in this county seem to be very slow at acknowledging/confirming. Makes it crap to train for them and to not oversubscribe to others in case the one you really wanted falls through.

It makes my decision to pay to be in the GNR Running Club and guarantee a please seem worthwhile now - I would hate this wait and last time I tried through the ballot I did not get a place (so ran in 2006 in a charity place). I hope you all get the news you want very soon.

Received an email on 11 01 08 stating Your payment has been successfully authorised and you have now registered to take part in the BUPA Great Manchester Run 2008. Does this mean I am in or does it mean I am registered as interest to take part. These organisations need to improve the way they deal with things.
