Last November we held our own 10k in Edinburgh city centre, pretty much following the route of the Bupa 10k. General feedback was positive, and I was wondering...anyone up for doing it all again? Still have all the printed info and files from last year, and the Rentboy may still have some race numbers left after Melrose. Easiest option is to keep it all pretty much as last year, but all suggestions considered. Proposed dates: Sunday 7th November or Sunday21st November

I'd be in if it was 7th Nov. Maybe offer a few lifts to some local Aberdeen fetchies too.

Scotty, will keep my eye on this and see what my plans are and see if I can make it. What kind of time would you be thinking of, the earlier the better for me so I dont disrupt my family yet again for another race !!!! PS, were you cycling home last night westwards, about the murrayfield hotel, wearing a white top and shouting at a car driver who seemed to have cut you up when turning left ? Only caught a brief glimpse but I thought it may have been you. |

Yay! 21st would be fab. (Unless there's even chance of making it a Saturday, which would be even better.)

We had a handicap last year, Boab. Ran in small groups, some of them more focused on speed (Hellooooo! Santaaaa! Sooooph! Nope, gone. ;-)) and others just out for a social run. Was good fun.

Boab, the Water of leith half around the start of December is a handicap...makes for an interesting and enjoyable race which the thread starter only went and won last year . I trailed in near the end due to an appalling handicap of a time faster than my PB set despite me having been injured for 7 weeks. I am gonna lie this year !! |
