Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Homer - Having now done the Macclesfield and the Wilmslow - I prefer the Macclesfield (more scenic and less congested) but the Wilmslow is still an excellent race (even if last years t-shirt was the worst quality one I have ever had after a race - went from a L to a XXXS in one wash :-) )

I have been keeping an eye on entries opening as I missed the race year before last due to not getting entered on time

I like the route of this one...the peace of the lanes then the good support through Mobberley make for a good mixture. I do hope they are doing chip timing this year though?

I havent done Macclesfield yet.

Entered.
Really looking forward to this on as have missed out last year.
Weekend away at MrsTR's uncle's in Wilmslow.

Having not done it before, what makes it special.
Done lots of 1/2s before (Reading/Stratford/Amsterdam) but may treat this one as a nice training run and just enjoy it.
Allows me to have a drink the night before that way ;-)

TR - not sure really what makes it special - it has a reputation amongst runners in the greater manchester/cheshire area as the big half marathon in the area (certainly the biggest field) everyone that does halfs knows of/ has run in this race.

It is very well organised and is run on a more or less flat course on traffic free country lanes and it has a reputation as a PB course

No got to confess I havent because its says its a race not a run and that this year there is a 2.35 cut off, which I could just miss as I tend to run around 2:35, and I dont want to put major expectation on myself. Sounds really good race though!!

Is there any details for Macclesfield
