Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

So, I've woken up this morning, and I currently no longer see the point in pursuing a number. Mojo's just cleared off.

DeeGee, do what's right for you!

I've seen people start running marathons years after my first marathon and they are already at 100 and beyond.

It's my life and I'm doing it my way.

Your mojo will re-appear when appropriate.

I've stacked on about a stone since the summer, my times are wrecked, I used to run sub 4s for fun, at the minute I'm struggling to break 5.

I don't want to walk the next 41 marathons for a vest. So, I'll miss the social, but in all honesty that probably won't do me much harm either.

The vest is still there if you take 100 days or 30-40 or 50 years!!!

Good luck, DeeGee.

I can fully understand and empathise, I got dragged into running longer and longer. I've realised it ain't fun and it isn't for me (at the moment). I'll never, say never, but as you have stated we all need to work within such parameters to achieve happiness and satisfaction.

At the moment I love 26.2 miles :)

Of course, I might completely change my mind by this time next week.

What do you need to do to get back to running sub 4s for fun DeeGee?

Train more consistently, perhaps. But I'm struggling getting out of bed early doors.

It is the time you have not the time you run.
