Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

marathonmaniacs.com American marathon organisation, MUCH easier to get in than the 100MC but members very friendly and typically wear yellow MM shirts at marathons, with lots of "Go Maniacs!" They don't have many overseas members, but growing!

Tighteneing up" though would potentially involve time cut offs, which would be a real shame
its one of the things I really admire about the 100 club, that they arent snotty about time/try to let people start early and so on

this to me is truly inclusive, and why i am proud to call them ,my first claim club
They have some awesomely fast runners amongst their members

and some slower ones
Ill never forget giving Liam hi fives on his 200 th mara at Longford, which he had started early(I think he is a 6-7 hour marathoner theses days)

Can any rule tightening wait till after I'm in? Will be more like my 60th before I get there otherwise and believe me that's a number I do not wish to contemplate for a long time to come!!

Thinking about it, i dont think Shades had got any faster than a 4.40 marathon when she did the 100 in 2003

she has now though

Over 3000 MM members! Much bigger organisation than the 100MC but then much simpler entry requirements, a good weekend gets you in!

Anything I would back regarding tightning of the rules wouldn't include anything specific regarding times, just that you have to appear in the results, so if an event lets you finish an event in ten hours, then that's absolutely fine by me... anything else and then you're in the land of interpretation.
