A week or so ago, I invited your comments on a Fetcheveryone Bobble Hat.
With a slight change of tack, I've been speaking to the folks at OutsideIn. Not only do they make lovely hats, but they are set up to help homeless people. You can find out more about them here: weareoi.com
It was suggested that OutsideIn would be a great manufacturer for Fetch Bobble Hats.
They don't do totally bespoke designs, but I've picked one of the designs from their range. It's called Chilli Blues, and I felt like the red and blue represented our running and swimming categories - times when I am most likely to want to put one on when I'm done. EDIT: They are fleece lined!!!
With bulk purchases like this, OutsideIn invest 20% of the profit into individuals experiencing homelessness. They have partnered with charities in the Simon community (see simoncommunity.org.uk for details) and help fund OCN (Open College Network) courses, and more besides.
After the cost of buying the hats and posting, approximately £7 from the purchase of each bobble hat will go into the Fetch coffers, which helps me to keep offering a free alternative to paywalls
As always, I do a preorder. This means I can order the exact quantity, so there won't be any left over. This does also mean that there won't be any left over so if you want one, now's the time to get your name down. And also as always, if you need to wait until payday - just get your name down, but CRUCIALLY please let me know, otherwise I'll be wondering if you meant it.
The preorder will close on October 21st, at which point I will send the final numbers across to OutsideIn. They will get the hats to me in approximately six weeks, for immediate dispatch. Fingers crossed, that means late November - or just in time for December and Chr***mas.
