I've been running and entering races on-and-off since I was a teenager but as much as I love running I've always been inconsistent. However, a few years ago I was advised that exercise and a healthy lifestyle would help alleviate the symtoms of a stomach illness that I've had since I was 14. I've slowly changed my lifestyle since then in terms of diet, nutrition and exercise and I'm now a bit of a health freak! I do still have the naughty stuff - but in moderation of course!! The health problems do stop me from training and doing races sometimes but I use these periods to motivate myself even more.
In additon to running I love cross-training like doing core, upper body and leg exercises, walking, cycling and swimming. In the future I'd love to do a full Duathlon and if I'm crazy enough....a full Triathlon too!
