Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am fundraising for Magic of Play

I am running the London Marathon 2014 in aid of the Magic of Play Appeal, to build a new playroom at the Lister hospital in Stevenage. This appeal has been set up by East & North Herts Hospitals Charity and they need to raise £250,000 by next year in order for the new playroom to go ahead. Over 3,000 poorly children stay at the hospital every year and the current playroom is 25 years old, tired and in need of repair. The new playroom they want to install will be 55% larger and will cater for all ages and all medical conditions. Please sponsor me and support this worthwhile cause to help local sick children get the best hospital care they possibly can.

About Me

began as a teenage sprinter, coerced into the rowing team where my love affair with distance running began. During my twenties and thirties life always seemed to get in the and we drifted apart. In my mid forties we happened across one another again and the love affair has resumed, god I'm sorry I wasted all the years in between, now trying to make up for it now when not injured.

Current Status

missed my marathon target by 11 secs, can still call myself a 3:30 marathon runner, now looking to stay fit and tackle my short course PB's and try push my WAVA score up from its current 75.79% into the 80's. need to alter my training and lifestyle.
