I started running in 2004, when a friend doing through a bad time wanted a non-runner to do Woodley 10k with (all of her friends were regular runners). With just 4 weeks to go, I bought some shoes and started to train, then never heard from her again! Being as I'd bought the shoes, I was doing it...
