Notes & Comments

National XC Championships at Wollaton Park.
12km (7.5miles)3 Laps - I clocked it at 11.6km (7.22miles).
Sorrell gave Sam, Stu, Steve & me a lift.
Preferential parking so Paul parked as close as we could to the start.
Met Steve Bennett, sorted the numbers.
Checked out the course map.
Steve M did a rec and confirmed where the mud/swamp was.
Sam headed off for the start n we went looking for the changing tents (which we couldn't find), so we went back to the car to change.
Chip timing round the ankle n number on the front.
Wondered down to the starting area, passed all the team tents (idea for future races) to where the starting pens were.
Garmin took an age to pick up the position and found us with only a few seconds to spare.
Handshakes and encouragement and then we were off.
