Notes & Comments

Skye Half Marathon. Fantastic race with an amazing route and scenery. Very warm and sunny, midges down by the river. First half was very undulating with short sharp hills steadily getting bigger on a single track road. Then a descent before hitting the main road for the return to Portree. 3 mile uphill slog then 2 mile descent to the finish. Splits at 8;22, 7;48, 7;35, 7;22, 7;14, 8;04, 7;48, 8;19, 8;06, 8;53, 7;56, 7;24, 7;19. Finished 55/256. Really pleased with time given the difficult course and the warm weather.
