It's certainly very much different from on the road. Persevere with it!!
thanks have now entered the 5k. will be better prepared next time so at least will know what the lap times should be. was bamboozled by the guy shouting them out after the first lap and the garmin was worse than useless.
Garmin seemingly don't like track racing as it takes an average of 50m radius or similar as I garmined the 10,000m and got 6.54 miles ha. That was Robert Hawkins shouting out full lap splits for the runners as that's where they started. I ran with mine in my hand and hit lap button as I passed the finish line. Looking forward to the 5,000m 😀
will do similar with the watch or might wear a basic stopwatch as well. will test that before the race. yeah it should be good.
