Enthusiastic!
Why am I not surprised that Ogee brought up the idea of being tied up?

We have ourselves a plan Stan Sunday 22nd August - Itinerary 11.00-11.15am Meet at Potters Fields in Fetch colours for Runners' Reception (nearest Overground / Underground - London Bridge). Here you will be greeted by the lovely NaomiP with a generous glass of the finest chilled sparkling wine and juicy fresh strawberries to set you up for a day of drinking, running, drinking, superb company, drinking, and eventually falling over, though ideally not in the Thames. A donation of £3 or a drink for NaomiP en route would be much appreciated in exchange for your morning sharpener. 11.45am SET OFF - Wahey!! 12.00pm The Mayflower, Bermondsey, 1.3 miles 1.00pm The Old Salt Quay, Bermondsey, 0.2m, 1.5m 2.00pm The Ship & Whale, Rotherhithe, 1.3m, 2.8m 3.00pm The Trafalgar, Greenwich, 2.6m, 5.4m A short lunch stop in Greenwich. There is a chippy or a Marks & Spencer Food shop. This will literally be a quick, al fresco bite to eat beside what's left of the Cutty Sark before disappearing into the Foot Tunnel like that scene in 28 Days Later , 0.2m, 5.6m 5.00pm The Grapes, Limehouse, 2.6m, 8.2m 6.00pm Captain Kidd, Wapping, 0.9m, 9.1m 7.00pm The George, London Bridge, 1.9m, 11m total All timings are very rough, but there to try and give some idea of how long we're going to be out on the streets enduring this hellish task we've taken on.... Hope lots of you are still up for it. If perchance you've had a better offer can you remove yourself from the pub crawl group so that you don't receive any more rambling Fmails. Also, if you consider yourself a 'definite' could you Fmail NaomiP to confirm, so that she has some idea of how many people to cater for in terms of fizzy schtuff and strawberries. Thanking you. Looking forward to it NaomiP and Enthusiastic! |
