I can well believe that Vaseline tends to damage modern running kit, seeing is it is "Petroleum Jelly" and the kit is made from petrochemicals. But has anyone personally experienced it?

i hate the oil slicks they produced on the front of shirts, harder to wash out than blood..

I've had it stain tops and won't come out, even after many washing cycles. Bodyglide is more gentle on the kit.
