Whether you are a seasoned runner or are just starting out, Staffs Moorlands has something for you. The Club is based at Leek in Staffordshire in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands. It is set in some of the most beautiful scenery in the country and draws its membership from the surrounding area as well as nearby Stoke On Trent and Buxton.
The club members take part in races both locally and throughout the country, including the London marathon and the Great North Run. Some members take part in races abroad, including the Reims half marathon in France and the Amsterdam races in Holland, as well as fell world championships and other races.
The club has very active adult mens, ladies and junior sections. Staffs Moorlands trains at both Leek and at Northwood Stadium at Stoke on Trent. For Junior details see our Junior page.
The club puts on many races throughout the year including the popular Leek Half which in 2007 also incoprates the Britsh Masters half marathon championships. In the summer we put on our weekly summer off-road championship series. And in winter we put on a fixture of the North Staffs Cross country league as well as the xmas cracker multi terrain race held at Tittersworth reservoir.
