Beechmount Harriers were formed in the early 1980s in time for the inaugral Dublin marathon. Club headquarters used to be at Beechmount leisure centre which has since closed down. The club now uses Andersonstown lesiure centre as a training centre and St.Michaels Youth Club for monthly meetings. The club has an excellent youth structure in place and a number of male and female open category/veterans also compete in local road races and cross country meetings.
