This mornings effort saw me get these....
and arrive at the end of this year's swim challenge.
It's really been the motivation to get me back swimming and into the routine of getting up earlier on days off than work days 🤣
I've reconnected with some friends I used to coach with. They now have there own tri coaching business and I'm loving their coached sessions. With 3 a week I should be able to make at least 1 and hopefully 2 on a regular basis.
I've had a look back over my swims since the challenge started........
48.9 miles (I did a little extra to make sure!)
28:34:12
35.05 min/mile average
20 swims on 17 days over 24 days
6 x 1hr coached sessions
31/3 - 2.28/100m. 40min/mile
23/4 - 2.07/100m. 34min/mile
That's a huge improvement!
Probably mostly down to my technique being a bit rusty on the first swim. I know that's improved especially at the front end with my 'catch'.
I know there's still more to be shaved off but it won't be 6mins in 3 weeks! There's been a few miles in there that have been 31.xx so I'm sure I can get down to around a 30min/mile and who knows beyond that.
So now all that remains is for me to go for a run to find the castle.
I think it's just other this hill.......
