About Me

I started running (jogging) back in 2010 just to to get a bit fitter and lose some weight. At first I was just runnin' 1.5 miles a few times a week. I got a bit fitter and lost some weight and I soon began to really enjoy it and upped my run rate as much as I could over the next few months. I signed up for the Bath Half Marathon 2011 just before Xmas to give myself a target to aim for. I followed a Half Marathon training plan and I currently run about 15 - 20 miles a week. I also entered a 10k at Castle Combe race track at the end of Feb which was my first official race/run. Once I had the Bath Half and the Castle Combe 10k under my (race) belt, I looked out for more runs to enter. I ended up running 2 more Half Marathons in 2011 (Budapest & Cricklade) , quite a few 10k's (Castle Combe X 3, Trailblazer), a 5k (Chippenham), a 5m (Swindon) and finally the fantastically muddy 8.5m Sodbury Slog.
Sadly (for me) I didn't improve on my first PB times so that'll be my target in 2012.
