Thames Meander Half Marathon. Felt like an effort from quite early on. Felt I had gone out too fast for first few mile. From about mile 7 felt very dehydrated. Thought pack had run out only to discover at water station that bladder was in upside down!! Had to take quite a few walk breaks in last 3 miles as heart rate felt high and breathing was laboured no matter how slow I went. Had been eating healthy for a week including no crisps / salty snacks. Could I have cut down too much on salt?? Otherwise was a really nice race with very friendly people. Would do again. And I did my first half marathon in 9 years!!!
