You beauty! I'm back with a really satisfying performance.

I didn't turn up to break 4 hours, but I did tell myself that it was important to run the second half quicker than the first half. So when I went through half way in about 2hrs and 10 seconds, I thought to myself "oh well we'd better crack on".

I then proceeded to put a really solid second half today and even when I went through 20m in 3hrs 02, I still wasn't worried about 4 hours. It was only when I got to 23 miles and was feeling good I thought it might be in with a chance. I even ended up with enough time to turn around at the finish line and make it 26.2m (not 26.06).

I wore a pair of Asics Nimbus today and had no groin issues. Was that the shoes or the soft terrain today?

Happy with this.
