The wheels came off at mile 20. I reckon had I done enough training to get me to mile 23 I would have gritted my teeth and done a decent time. As it was, the sight of a fellow runner throwing up his gels (there was at least one orange and one blackcurrant) and an inconvenient hill just as I was thinking of walking did for me. Anyway. Enough fun here to make me think about a spring marathon
