Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Notes & Comments

HAWESWATER HALF MARATHON. So Sunday morning dawned with wuzzy legs and a fuzzy head. Got everything together and set off on a beautiful morning over to Haweswater. Ran up and down the road a bit to warm up, and thought the legs seemed ok. Dazz was fab being my sherpa and timekeeper, and carried discarded gloves, gels and water, and more importantly; my splits from the last time I ran this. I'd pretty much given up any hope of beating my previous time after such poor preparation. The first 2 miles I was sluggish, and lost about 15 seconds per mile. But then I started knocking them out faster. Suddenly, it seemed that I might better my 2008 time. But alas, my tired legs began to suffer again towards the end, and I came in 10 seconds slower. Pretty delighted with that though to be fair. 8.40 (+0.12), 9.26 (+15), 9.30 (-21), 8.44(-11), 8.46(-7), 9.22(-), 8.20(-), 9.51(-29), 8.32(+28), 8.47(+3), 8.45(+11), 8.30(-), 8.25(-4), 1.09(+18).
Overall 361/512, F 78/160, F40 36/63
