Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Robin Hood Marathon. My first marathon for 11 years! Started of nice and easy only trouble was a spped bump at 3 miles when i stumbled over it! Up to 8 miles quite up and down and a bit congested in places then flattened out and got some good miles in still comfortable at halfway in 1h58m55s. Took a gel at 14 miles and got te benefit around 15/16, then on to the watersports centre...Afte the initial run wit backwind we turned into a headwind for 2 miles or so very hard and worked a bit to keep going, hit backwind again at the turn. Mile 22 ad my right quad started getting a bit of cramp but kept going although my pace was dropping off. In the last mile my left quad got very painful cramp and was very hard to keep running but managed to grit my teeth and made it in just under 4 hours. Second half 1h59m36s. Very pleased with the run and might just do another :)
