Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

I got to the start line feeling very confident of at least a sub 2.50 and even had half an eye on sub 2.45 if I was feeling good during the race. Being quite near the front at the start I was able to get in to my target pace after the 1st mile and felt very comfortable through half way. Slowed down a bit to take a gel and some water at Mile 14 and when trying to get back up to pace noticed the first signs of fatigue in my legs. The fatigue got steadily worse as each mile went by. The last four miles were a real struggle but somehow, thanks to the amazing support from my family and friends and everybody else I managed to sneak in a minute inside my previous PB.
