Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Jogged around Greyfield Wood while Tyler was in High Littleton Recreation ground for Cubs (and after arguing with Eunice as to whether we go shopping, stay in the same place, I take her home or to find somewhere to buy her dinner). My calves were feeling a little tight/sore after yesterdays walk/jog, but after about a mile of jogging around the woods I could feel my right calf starting to play up again - sore and fatigued where the Soleus meets the Gastrocnemius. I did some bar work and dynamic drills on a flat piece of mud I found, trying to minimize the stress on my calves. I wasn't going to do any strides because of the stress it would put on my calves, but after walking back to the car, I decided to turn around and do a 20 second stride, then after that decided I should be OK for another one or more and ended up doing 4 strides of 25-30 seconds in total, but my calves felt quite sore after that. I'm very worried about the prospect of doing the race on Wednesday now. I'm writing this the next day and the calves still feel quite bad.
