Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Athlone Flatline Half Marathon 19/20 degrees

Very warm & Humid... Decided before race that I'd be happy with 1 hr 40... .so I went off at 7'40 pace And a good/lucky decision it was. Many runners in trouble and walking after only 6/7 miles.

Caught up to a local lad who was hoping to break 1'40'00 so it gave me more of a focus for the race

8mls (60'40) 161avg HR on target(7'35 pace)

Together & still passing many others

10ml (14'34) 74'54 170HR Together

I got a stitch on mile 11 and had to stop and walk as I couldn't run it off.Only 2nd time its ever happened

11(9'02) 83'56
Got back into a fast rhythm again after a 9min mile and caught up to local lad by mile 12 as he had zoned out after we split and was only toddling along. After throwing a few positive affirmations (& f**ks) into him I got him wound up and we had a right battle to the line

13.1(14'01) 97'57 Ahr 171

Chip time 97'40... more than happy with that

AHR 165
