gale force gusts, driving rain, sand blown across the cycle path on the first 5 miles - nothing can stop me :D Got a new course PB by a whopping 11 min (2:04 last year) without even intending to fully race this. After the 16 miles yesterday, this was supposed to be a marathon paced effort (minus the hill) on tired legs based on HR. Imagine my surprise when I neared the finish line and I saw the time 1:53!!! Couldn't believe my eyes. Added bonus: winning the team competitions with the Cybi Ladies Tracey (1st V35) and Sue. Well done to you, too! PS: HRM slid down my stomach due to the pounding on mile 10 downhill. So the HR stats for mile 11 onwards are hogwash - I was probably around 175 at that stage, working on the LT threshold.
