Chedworth Roman Trail - was a beautiful snowy morning in the middle of nowhere. Very scenic and beautiful fun. Enjoyable mix of terrain ... well glad I wore my swoops! Nice and muddy, water crossing, hills, trails and fantastic atmosphere. Started at the back and tried to hold back and take it easy but the pace did quicken and then more so in the last mile. Spent whole race passing people. Walked anything that was remotely steep but did run a couple of the hills. Fantastic event .... will defo do this one again ... and maybe race it next time. Only 10women in 1:21!! Prob loads after that and before me though. Some nice comments at the end with a bloke commenting on my pace as I passed him "here comes the speed brigade" and a woman stating after the finishing line "god you pair were really going at some pace at the end there!". Prob not such a good idea but it was a lovely run and had plenty left ... couldn't help it. Was sensible otherwise though! (ish)
