Training - VO2 Max Estimate Calculator
If you've hung around runners for long enough, or seen a few running magazines, you've probably heard the term VO2Max.
In simple terms, it's the maximum rate at which your body can use oxygen. The higher it is, the more oxygen you can use, which means you can work harder and go faster in races.
For an accurate measurement, you need to visit a sports lab, but you can get a rough idea using a recent race performance. Once you've got that figure, you can work backwards and use it to estimate equivalent race times.
