About The Club
The club officially started in 2010 when coach Gary Stitt, decided to start an athletics club in Mallusk. The club struggled in the early days and was poorly attended. However in late 2013 the club had a sudden but welcome influx of members. The club has now assumed a fresh impetus and the future is looking very bright. We currently have over 40 members and have both a Senior and Junior section. This year the club has been represented in the Belfast 1/2 Marathon, the Riverock Belfast Marathon, the Dublin Marathon, Laganside 10k Road Race, Gr8 Race Dundrum, Tollymore Forest Half Marathon, Dublin Rock n Roll Half Marathon and many more events. The club intends to attend even more events in the year ahead. We already have members entered in the Belfast Marathon and London Marathon. We are proud supporters of parkrun and regulary have the club represented at events at the Waterworks, Valley Park and Victoria Park.
While we enjoy the challenge of a race, we realise that that is not for everyone and we encourage runners to the club who just want to improve their general fitness and get out for a run.
Mallusk Harriers is a welcoming and friendly running club. We are a young club but we are determined to do everything we can to help our members be the best that they can be. We are proud of our membership and strive to help each and every runner that comes to the club.
As we like to say... right to the line.
