We are based at the Sweatshop Store at Virgin Active Healthclub off London Road in Nottingham. (Opposite Jury's Inn Hotel) All abilities are welcome and it is completely free to join. There is no need to be a member of the gym to visit our store or join our running group.
We have two groups: Monday beginners and Wednesday main group.
The beginners group meets at the store every Monday (except bank holidays). We run or run/walk a 2-3 mile route - ideal for anyone just taking their first steps as a runner or coming back from injury. We have several members who are training for their first 5k run and others who have recently taken up running purely to get fit.
If you can run for at least 30 minutes you can join our Wednesday group. We cater for speed demons and slow coaches alike, running various 5-7 mile routes. We occasionally throw in some hill work or interval sessions for fun but if you'd prefer to just come out and run then that's fine too.
We are a social running group rather than a competitive club. If you'd like some company on your runs then feel free to join us. (And if you join our group you can benefit from 10% discount in the store when you come and run with us)
