Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Great Cumbrian Run. Could have been a lot worse!
Gun time 2:14:01, chip time 2:13:18.
Really nice conditions for running at a conservative effort level. Would have been warm for racing flat out. But my legs were on strike until 11am.

Alice the Camel
Good one, well run!
riggys99
Well done great finish

Ready for the metric next
Velociraptor
Thanks :)
Overall verdict, slower than I'd hoped, less slow than I'd feared, nowhere near sub-4 or even sub-4.30 marathon shape, couldn't get much above 70% WHR in the first half but had no difficulty burning my remaining matches in the last two miles.
EvilPixie
Well done really good
Dvorak
Strong finish.
Bowman 🇸🇪
Well done! Good to hear that you remembered to tie your shoes, and didn’t grind to a halt :)
IdrisTheDragon
Well done 😃
Velociraptor
Thanks :) I was more than 80 minutes ahead of the last finisher (and 470th of 683) so I don't think the marshals will blame me if their dinner was in the dog when they got home.
Oscar the Grouch
Good work
Velociraptor
Thanks, OtG :)
Rosehip
Off your inverse taper, that’s a good run. Plenty in your legs at the finish - reckon bodes well for a sub 4.30 in the spring - at least :)
Corrah
Great running and loving the final push :)
Velociraptor
Thanks :) Work to do, but at least I know it may be worth doing the work.
Corrah
Absolutely 👍
tipsku
Well done! You got the job done with a strong finish
Velociraptor
Thanks, tipsku :)
