Easy until joining the route of next Sundays coastal half marathon. Then did the last 3.6 miles of the half marathon route at marathon pace. This section has some easy off road a bit of sand and a run along the prom. The off road section is about exposed to the wind as it’s on a raised bank. Most of this section was into a noticeable wind (hopefully blowing opposite direction on race day)

Easy then last 1/2 mile ish increased to probably more sub lactate threshold. Quite a bit of climbing in first 2 miles or so (when you run through a place called Skys Edge you get a hint it’s uphill) on one of the 7 hills Sheffield is built on.
